Just wanted to do a quick post to let people know that I've started a blog dedicated to providing information on Exchange Wagering. I'll be keeping it up to date with news and other information regarding exchange wagering, as states including New Jersey and California move towards legalizing and implementing it.

Hal's Hope Stakes

Here's the field for Saturday's Grade 3 Hal's Hope Stakes at one mile:

That looks like a pretty solid Grade 3 field to me. The early pace should be hotly contested, with the likely favorites all having good speed. I'm not really sure that the other horses are good enough to take advantage and come from behind to win though.

Where Does Zenyatta Rank?

Where does Zenyatta rank among the all-time great race horses? Take a look at the Bloodhorse list of top 100 U.S. Racehorses of the 20th Century. Where would you put her on that list? I'm comfortable putting her as high as #21, right between Swaps and Equipoise. I just can't justify any higher than that...not enough fast times and wins by wide margins. Maybe if she had the benefit of running more races on dirt that wouldn't be the case, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
